Vogue Italia has recently lost its Editor-in-Chief Franca Sozzani who passed away in December 2016 after a long illness. Ms Sozzani during her thirty years as director of the most notable fashion magazine has made Vogue Italia a mile stone in the fashion industry.
The whole fashion system was wondering who would have been the right replacement for such a talented and creative director and the answer met the people’s expectations: Emanuele Farneti is the new mastermind behind Vogue Italia.
Mr Farneti was born in Rome in 1974 and has started his career in local networks. In 1999 joined Conde Nast Italia to launch the Italian version of Gentleman’s Quarterly (aka GQ).
After a few years away from the company when he had the chance to develop new magazines like ICON, he went back to CN in 2014 where he started directing Architectural Digest. His succesful strategy brought the interior design magazine to be back on track after a few years of disappointing sales.
Mr Farneti is the third director of Vogue Italia and his new role in the company has been announced by Jonathan Newhouse, CEO of Conde Nast International:
“Emanuele, who has been at the helm of eight different publications in his career, is currently one of the most expert, admired and talented editors-in-chief we have in Italy”
Jonathan Newhouse, CEO of CN International
We wish a future of succesful adventures to the new Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Italia.
