The tradeshow industry has been deeply affected by the coronavirus pandemic. From China to the US the major tradeshows have started to cancel or postpone their 2020 editions at the beginning of February this year. The whole industry has suffered major consequences. Many meeting and event professionals have lost their jobs and the rescheduling of events has had a huge impact on the whole sector from hotels to destination management companies. A tradeshow or a conference has a relevant economic impact on the destination where it takes place and seeing fairgrounds here in Italy and worlwide opening their doors again feels like a liberation.
