Milan is the city known the world over for its role as a fashion and design capital. The Milanese people are used to see the many tourists of this vibrant destination walking along the cobbled streets of the quadrilatero, this is how we call the fashion district of Milan, holding in their hands big paper bags with the most luxurios logos printed on them. From Prada to Versace and Armani the most sought-after maisons are literally taken for a walk along Via Montenapoleone, the main street of the fashion district. During these days however another object occupies the hands of the customers of the most important brands present in this corner of Milan that generates 13% of the GDP of the whole city. A glass of wine, white or red, seems to be the right way to accompany the already exciting shopping sessions. They call it “La Vendemmia” italian for grape harvest and it is now at its 10th edition.
From 7 to 13 October the Via Montenapoleone and the surrounding streets will host a series of highly prestigious events, promoting the excellence of Made in Italy and once again giving great prominence to the city of Milan, and to the Italian context in general, as points of reference for a quality production that grows over time and becomes increasingly valuable.
Conceived and promoted by MonteNapoleone District, and realized in collaboration with the Great Cru Committee of Italy, La Vendemmia combines the great international luxury brands and the most prestigious national and international wineries, with the participation of the best restaurants and 5-star luxury hotels of the city.
Throughout the week, some of the most renowned restaurants in central Milan will offer the special “La Vendemmia” menu, paired with a glass of wine. The 5-star luxury hotels linked to MonteNapoleone District will offer exclusive “La Vendemmia” packages, which entitle the VIP Pass to access all scheduled events. Particularly noteworthy are the Wine Experience at Baglioni Hotel Carlton, Bulgari Hotel Milan, Grand Hotel et de Milan and Mandarin Oriental Milan, open to all those wishing to book, for a fee, a truly unique tasting and the Wine Tasting at the Four Season.
