10 Corso Como to open soon in New York

The opening of 10 Corso Como in the South Sea Port district, the southern district of Manhattan overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge, is scheduled for the first of September 2018. Born on the initiative of Carla Sozzani, sister of the most famous Franca, director  Vogue Italia who recently died, 10 Corso Como was the first concept shop in the world, according to the definition of the sociologist Francesco Morace, who identified in 10 Corso Como a new model of shop.

Alongside the gallery of photographic art, a book shop, clothing items and a cafeteria  occupy the spaces of an old garage that has been skilfully converted into a shop by Kris Ruhs, an American artist who has also be entrusted with the creation of the 10 Corso Como logo .

Thanks to collaborations with Comme des Garçons, the Japanese brand of minimal clothing, 10 Corso Como arrived in the East. First in Tokyo and later in Seoul, in collaboration with Samsung Cheil and Shanghai.

The American opening of the iconic Milanese store is part of the redevelopment of the entire port area of New York. The renovation of the iconic Pier 17 and the South Sea Port freight warehouses has brought this district to the center of the interest of international retail operators, including 10 Corso Como, which has identified in this district the ideal location to continue the tradition of innovation and identification of new trends that have characterized its history since 1990, the year of the foundation of the most chic shop in Milan.
