Urban Outfitters takes Milan

Urban Outfitter takes Milano or at least takes a part of it. The US retailer headquartered in Philadelphia has chosen Milan to open its first store in Italy. Shopping in the galleria!

This astonishing building was officially inaugurated in 1867 by the King of Italy,Vittorio Emanuele the II and to the King it was dedicated as written above the main entrance.  The Galleria is 105 meters wide and 196 meters long and connects Piazza del Duomo with Piazza della Scala. Shopping in Milan: the Excelsior experience

Each shopping capital has its signature department store. Paris has the Galeries Lafayette, London has Harrod’s , New York has Saks Fifth Avenue and Milan has its own one: the Excelsior.  The building has been designed by architects Jean Nouvel and Vincenzo de Cotiis who have turned an old cinema in the city centre into a shopping paradise.
